Stage 3 - Adelaide's Backyard (98km)

 

During this first leg (Stage 3) we will be riding from Bike Society Blair Athol to the Stage 3 finish line at Uraidla then back to the city.

Everyone is welcome to come and ride with our bunchie. No drops – Pace 25km/h.

We are expecting quite a few people for this ride and numbers will be capped. All Rides are FREE, so register online HERE

Distance: Around 98km (Bike Society Blair Athol | Birdwood | Uraidla | City)

Elevation: 1,616m

During this third leg (Stage 6) we will be riding from Bike Society Brighton to the Stage 6 finish line at Willunga Hill then back to the city.

Disclaimers:

  • We will not be providing online registration but you will be required to download, read, agree and sign the waiver form below and then lodge it at the Bike Society shop counter on the day of the ride. This need to be done before you can participate on the ride. If you are under 18 years old you will be required to have a parent/guardian read, agree and sign the waiver form and bring on the day before you can participate on the ride.
  • Please be aware that you will need to carry your own food and water. We will make a pit stop at the San Remo mobile kitchen near the finish line to eat some delicious pasta, rest and watch the rest of the race.
  • These are open road rides. You will be sharing the road with traffic. SA Road rules apply including riding no more than 2 abreast and then only when safe to do so.
  • Riders must organise their own transport for the way back, as the supported ride is only one way to the finish line of the stage.
  • There will be a rider information and safety briefing 10 min prior to the start of each ride.
  • Insurance: Anyone participating in the Bike Society | San Remo | Biketivist rides does so at their own risk of injury, loss of life or damage to property. Cyclist participating should have their own cycling specific (including third party) insurance.
  • If the rider is involved in an accident during the Event, the organizers reserve the right to call an ambulance or other emergency assistance service on the riders behalf. The rider, or parent or guardian acting and signing this waiver on their behalf where applicable, will be fully responsible for all costs associated with emergency assistance.
  • Event Cancellation: If the Bureau of Meteorology forecast for extreme weather conditions on the day, then the organizers will determine if the ride is to be modified or cancelled.
